The outcome of my photograpghy....
Then there was one i was a little unsure whether or not to include this image...
This image was created on a extremely windy day in a park behind the media factory, using glowsticks which were a variation of colours which i later on photoshopped red.

black photos
So i have decided to go for dark black photos with a hint of colour which will be the red item on the photo, the reason why i have gone for this style because i feel it links in with the story/ explanation of my photography, which the title for is it 'Forever the heart will glow'

big time stressing arrrghhh
My plan of the glow sticks completely backfired on me and decided not to work at all for the shoot tried it indoors, outdoors in the gayle force of last nights winds and still no luck so i had no choice but to last minute ditch the idea and improvise so i have, I'm dreading the outcome of the photographs but i really really tried :( i am writing this as i am trying to use the ever so tricky photoshop so i have decided to go for a very dark black photographs with one in grey so we can keep the focus on the red item in the photo, i have used a red flower and a red vase in my shoot.

Glowsticks is it then...
As i am scared of using sparklers for the shoot, ive decided to use glowsticks instead preferable pink ones as i couldnt get hold of any red ones, and i plan to just edit them to red on photoshop, i am rather excited for the outcome for this so i can not wait to get of one of those slr camera's from the techinical shop in the media factory and start photograpghy!!!
I kinda hit a brick wall and swayed of to focus my shoot on incorprating red rose petals as you may have noticed by some of the photographic images in my work, but after discussing my ideas with Hannah on monday's seminar session she made me see that opting for the heart monitors heart beat waves option will be much more of a better and stronger idea, so i decided to ditch the rose petals ideas completly and opt for the glowsticks instead.

:S
So it was bonfire night last night and unfortunately i didn't manage to capture the pictures which Eve and Hannah suggested for me to do of someone incorporating a heart monitor machine (the heartbeat waveslines) the reason for me not having done so is because i'm petrified of fireworks so i'm uncomfortable being around it so i chickened out. So instead i have found images on the Internet which i find rather relevant to what i was initially planning on doing.
The image which i intended on recreating using sparklers.

Get young people knowing!!
There are so many organisations, campaigns to get young people of today involved in more charities, for example a great organisation was orange doing the orange community which was a great scheme of getting youngsters of the streets and doing something productive with their time i.e. helping refurbish houses, help replant and paint parks and many more and as a thank you Orange rewarded them with free giggs to see the likes of lady gaga and many more well known musicians.

Cholesterols what is it all...
As my brief i am doing about the BHF I thought that it would be relevant to include some information on one of the common problems which affects many people in UK, which is high blood cholesterol's, you may hear it being mentioned over and over again but never really understand what it all means, well this may help answer your questions and queries that you may have. By having a clearer idea hopefully it will make more young people more aware and hopefully in the future see the number of suffers decrease.
High blood cholesterol itself does not cause symptoms, so many people are unaware that their cholesterol level is too high. It is important to find out what your cholesterol numbers are because lowering cholesterol levels that are too high lessens the risk for developing heart disease and reduces the chance of a heart attack or dying of heart disease, even if you already have it. Cholesterol lowering is important for everyone--younger, middle age, and older adults; women and men; and people with or without heart disease.
Why Is Cholesterol Important?
Your blood cholesterol level has a lot to do with your chances of getting heart disease. High blood cholesterol is one of the major risk factors for heart disease. A risk factor is a condition that increases your chance of getting a disease. In fact, the higher your blood cholesterol level, the greater your risk for developing heart disease or having a heart attack. Heart disease is the number one killer of women and men in the United States. Each year, more than a million Americans have heart attacks, and about a half million people die from heart disease. How Does Cholesterol Cause Heart Disease?
When there is too much cholesterol (a fat-like substance) in your blood, it builds up in the walls of your arteries. Over time, this buildup causes "hardening of the arteries" so that arteries become narrowed and blood flow to the heart is slowed down or blocked. The blood carries oxygen to the heart, and if enough blood and oxygen cannot reach your heart, you may suffer chest pain. If the blood supply to a portion of the heart is completely cut off by a blockage, the result is a heart attack.High blood cholesterol itself does not cause symptoms, so many people are unaware that their cholesterol level is too high.
What Affects Cholesterol Levels?
A variety of things can affect cholesterol levels. These are things you can do something about:- Diet. Saturated fat and cholesterol in the food you eat make your blood cholesterol level go up. Saturated fat is the main culprit, but cholesterol in foods also matters. Reducing the amount of saturated fat and cholesterol in your diet helps lower your blood cholesterol level.
- Weight. Being overweight is a risk factor for heart disease. It also tends to increase your cholesterol. Losing weight can help lower your LDL and total cholesterol levels, as well as raise your HDL and lower your triglyceride levels.
- Physical Activity. Not being physically active is a risk factor for heart disease. Regular physical activity can help lower LDL (bad) cholesterol and raise HDL (good) cholesterol levels. It also helps you lose weight. You should try to be physically active for 30 minutes on most, if not all, days.
- Age and Gender. As women and men get older, their cholesterol levels rise. Before the age of menopause, women have lower total cholesterol levels than men of the same age. After the age of menopause, women's LDL levels tend to rise.
- Heredity. Your genes partly determine how much cholesterol your body makes. High blood cholesterol can run in families.
Treating High Cholesterol
The main goal of cholesterol-lowering treatment is to lower your LDL level enough to reduce your risk of developing heart disease or having a heart attack. The higher your risk, the lower your LDL goal will be. To find your LDL goal, see the boxes below for your risk category. There are two main ways to lower your cholesterol:- Therapeutic Lifestyle Changes (TLC)--includes a cholesterol-lowering diet (called the TLC diet), physical activity, and weight management. TLC is for anyone whose LDL is above goal.
- Drug Treatment--if cholesterol-lowering drugs are needed, they are used together with TLC treatment to help lower your LDL.
what does heart mean to you
They are usually associated with the cheesy cards, stuffed toys and foil-wrapped chocolate lollies of Valentine's Day. But red hearts are taking on a new significance with the launch of the "Red Heart" digital photo competition, in aid of the British Heart Foundation (BHF).

Long exposure
This is a great example of a camera set to a long exposure mood to create this great effect, on this image. The way you can achieve this is through keep your main focus as still as possible i.e. prop or model whilst allowing fast movements to be happing in the background for example at very high speed, then when you take your snap you'll hopefully get a long exposure outcome.
The beauty of photgrapghy
As I was scouting the Internet doing a bit of general research I’ve come across some amazing fantastic photography work such as the following, which literally left me breathless as cheesy as it may sound but they truly are a piece of art.
Wear red to work for the British Heart Foundation
I love this clever representation used by this photographer to symbolise the British Heart Foundation
